I woke up one morning and realized that I love teaching photography and tech even more than I love taking photos. It shocked me also. But because of this, there’s now a new place for you to get free and awesome photography, camera, and gear information.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY A YOUTUBE CHANNEL?

I’ll make that announcement when I get to 100,000 subscribers.

WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT CAMERA DO YOU USE TO SHOOT YOUR VIDEOS?

My main camera is the Fujifilm X-T3 for the studio segments. I use an X-T4 for just about everything else. Overhead product shots is an X-T2, a Canon 80D, and a Sony Z-V1. Additional pickup shots are a combination of many other camera types, such as Insta360, GoPro, Canon PowerShot G7, and sometimes even a smartphone (iPhone 13 Pro).

DO YOU OFFER CAMERA ADVICE?

Yes, that’s basically part of my channel focus. Camera advice, tips, tricks, and gear reviews. I will always keep my suggested gear at this page.

DO YOU OFFER PHOTOGRAPHY ADVICE?

Yes: get out and start shooting with whatever gear you have. Do it before the sun sets today. Repeat this 1,000 times and you’ll notice that you’ll get a lot better at it.

Will you help me with my [XXXXX] Problem?

I’m sorry, but firm no on this. Nothing personal, promise. Not enough time and between family (always comes first) and my work, I can’t offer one-on-one help. Make Google your friend, reach out to your local camera shop (if any left) and search the online discussion and help forums. Also ask in the YouTube comments. A lot of my viewers may be able to help you out. While this may not be the answer you want to hear, please understand and respect my decision as I have to be realistic with my time.

WHAT IS YOUR SPONSORSHIP AND/OR AFFILIATE LINK POLICY? HOW DO YOU HANDLE SPONSORED PRODUCT REVIEWS?

In all cases, my viewers come first. Here’s my policy:

If a company sends the channel something to review, I’ll always mention this. My review may be good or bad. I’m clear about this upfront and any company sending me something is taking a chance that I may not like their product.
If a company offers me money to review a product, I will politely decline. I won’t accept money to do reviews. I will, however, accept a product sample to do a review since I need the physical product to do the testing. My receiving a product does not necessarily guarantee that I’ll do a review either. I really have to be convinced it’s a good fit for my audience.
If I ever enter into a sponsorship agreement with any company or organization, this will be made transparent to my viewers.
